title: Essentiallly...me.
Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004

So I was bored and scanned of a few of the things that are essential to being me, yo. Essentially me, one could call it.

The tan block with the pretty swirls on it is my piece of the MSMS puzzle. (Not intended to sound philosophical, just listen...) At the beginning of the year, MSMS has a Ceremony of Lights. It's about "becoming an MSMS student" and "joining the MSMS family" and "blah blah blah." At the end of the ceremony, the candles, except for one - and I don't remember which one it is (pardon my horrid sentence structure - I just failed an English exam and could give a shit less) - anyway, the juniors file down to the floor, one by one, and sign their name on the rather large MSMS Pledge that is now framed in Hooper, the academic building in which we fill our brains full of information. Then we waltz over to the table nearby and pick up a piece of the puzzle that none of us saw completed, and never will, for that matter. When we have our ten year reunion, we're supposed to bring our puzzle piece, and we'll put it back together. The thing is, though, we've already lost students to the academic stress (ie, lost pieces to the puzzle) - and we'll probably lose more after exams are over with. That, and we still have another year after this one is finally over. Anyway...

The nerd bean to the right of the puzzle piece sits on the bookshelf in my room. My secret pal gave it to me. So yeah, it's cool. Below that is my cellular device/cell phone/sell foan. I'd die without it. It keeps me in touch with so many people. I would seriously keel over and die without it. Next to that is chapstick. Oh, cracking lips, what would you be without chapstick? No more kissing, no more lip biting, no more futile attempts at whistling...in essence, my lips would shrivel up and fall off of my face. Above that, you'll see a paper clip and a quarter. A paper clip to keep my essays in order, and a quarter to wash my laundry, buy me carbonated beverages, purchase snacks...all the essentials to keep me clean and fed. Below that you'll see my MSMS id. It, um, allows me to eat at The Rot. I hate that place. Well, not hate. It has its good days, but I'm tired of eating there. Next to that, is the most important object - ie my Taking Back Sunday cd. It keeps me mellow and calm or fills me with adrenaline. I love that cd so much. Granted, it's not the first album TBS put out, but it's up there. And I like it. That's all that really matters.

And I'm out, yo. I hate exams.
