This week has been oh so stressful, but it's still managed to slip away rather quickly. Today started off rather badly, though. I had a major cell biology test today that stressed me out. I had to go to the courthouse to work on my city blocks project. I didn't feel to spiffy. But hey, I took my test and kicked its ass, if I do say so myself. Funny thing about the courthouse, though. When you walk in, you go up five or six steps and walk through a metal detector. Of all the times I've been there, it has never been turned on and a security guard has most certainly never been there. So I walk in today, and there is a very old looking man sitting there - not the kind of man I want protecting my assets, let me tell you. I walk through the metal detector; obviously it goes off. I've got my bookbag with me, and it's got all kinds of metal on it. Pins, zippers, buttons, studs, everything. He looks up from his station and says, "What all ya got in thur?" I hate the way old redneck men talk. "Everything," I say. "I'm from MSMS. I'm here to do research for City Blocks." MSMS is a magic word in Columbus. Instant recognition. He sort of leans forward with an air of authority that he so desperately lacks and says, "Oh, well I'm sure you don't have guns. Go on through." I walked on towards the back and chuckled to myself. He's my favorite security guard. Almost. The guy at the front of campus that seems to forget he's in a glass building and still picks his nose is my absolute favorite. That guy has some kind of fingers to get that kind of loot out of there.
Well, it is study hours, after all. I suppose I should get back to studying.
I've yet to decide where we are going to eat. Blargh.
